Vancouver’s North Shore mountains have some serious heritage. From way back in the day they have featured in countless freeride films and provided inspiration to trail builders around the world.
Located just 20 minutes by car from downtown Vancouver, The North Shore offers a great network of trails catering for a range of abilities. You can step outside the door in North Vancouver and be on a trail in five minutes.
Mt. Fromme alternatively known as Grouse Mountain is one of the most popular venues in the area. It offers a few classic cross country style single tracks along with double track trails and a multitude of technical downhill and freestyle trails.
While many of the mountain bike trails have “built” features, including stonework ramps, drops and roller coasters, wooden ladders and berms, slippery log rides, teeter-totters and gap jumps, many of the more difficult features have easier ride-around options.
