Aaron Gwin Called This Crazy Fast World Cup Run His ‘Best Ever’… Here’s Why

It's not hard to see why this ridiculous run is stunning mountain bikers everywhere...

There’s recently been talk of the creation of ‘Concorde 2’; a plane that could fly from London to New York in a mind numbing hour and a half.

Of course, it’s in its early planning stages at the moment, but it looks like the stunning new technology is finally there. Where did they get it? Well, presumably they just tore apart Aaron Gwin and his beloved Specialized S-Works Demo and worked out how he goes so fast – have you seen the American flying to his win yet in Windham?!

Gwinny’s winning run was an absolute sight to behold, leaving the rest of the field, well, looking much like Josh “Ratboy” Bryceland and Greg Minaar do in the Instagram post from the Santa Cruz shredder below.

Aaron certainly wasn’t the only rider to entertain though. George Brannigan also garnered a fair amount of attention for rather less desirable reasons – brutally crashing out twice as he tried to make his way to the bottom of the North American course.

Rachel Atherton continued to dominate the female ranks meanwhile, claiming yet another top spot – her fifth in a row – and the downhill world cup overall win as a consequence, with one event still left to go on the calendar.

A big get well to George and a big well done to Aaron and Rachel, two of the most consistent riders on tour this term.

There’s been some amazing riding this season, and we’re already buzzing on the final round of the contest to go down in Val di Sole, Italy later this month.
