Californian woman Gianna Peponis had the shock of her life when she wondered into her back garden a few nights ago and found what she thought was an alien looking back at her.

Although initially gripped by terror, Peponis did what just about everybody living in 2015 would do, and immediately snapped a picture and posted it online.

Of course, the internet being a sane and rational place, everybody lost their shit.

The alien sitting in Peponis garden coincided with mysterious lights being spotted above California, which ramped up the extra terrestrial theories.

However, it was soon announced that the UFO was actually the US Navy testing a Trident missile.

With the other-worldly conspiracies dying down, people thought they should actually have a proper look and try to think if the mystery creature could be something from a little closer to home. You know. Earth.

Kind of makes sense when you think about it, right?

Closer inspection appears to indicate that the mysterious, two-legged-condom-with-a-face thing is actually deer fetus. Common theories suggest that the fetus has been mauled by other animals, explaining why the there are only two legs, and the head appears somewhat misshaped.

News, we’re afraid continues to get worse. If you’re in an as yet unnamed metal band and feel inspired by this story, we unfortunately have to confirm that Baby Deer Fetus is already taken.
