This Is The Secret Bicycle Restoration Project Which Will Definitely Put A Smile On Your Face

Keeping your bike in road worthy condition can be a struggle. It takes a lot of time and attention to keep it running as beautifully as the day you got it. More often than not, it’s exactly the kind of time and attention that other people in your life, your partner or children for example, also kind of enjoy.

Alas, more often than not, your two-wheeled buddy can slowly fall into such a state of disrepair that the only sensible thing to do is whack it on eBay and hope somebody thinks they’ve got themselves a bargain.

The noble soles at Oakley have seen this talk of heartbreak too many times, and decided to do something about it. They want to get these bikes back on the road.

They scoured Europe to find three bike nuts who had no choice but to let their slowly dying cycle go to anew home, and intervened. The Oakley team bought the bikes, secretly filming the owners reluctantly letting them go.

But, rather than chopping them up and making some bizarre modern art sculpture, or breakfast bar for Hipsters with more money than sense, they got their bike wizards in residence, Seebass Cycles to not only restore the bikes to their former glory, but creating the perfect ride for the thee forlorn owners.

Weeks later, under the guise of talking to the three owners about their their love of cycling, Oakley returned the bikes back to the fellas, who all momentarily got a bit Romeo & Juliet (without the poison, happily), before taking to the road once again.
