Boris Johnson Just Said What All Cyclists Secretly Want To Say To Cabbies, And It Wasn’t Pretty…

The Mayor of London just proved he's a cyclist first and politician second...

You may like Boris Johnson or you may not. Either way, most people will admit that the floppy-haired Mayor of London is often pretty good for a laugh.

One thing the politician does have going for him is that he’s a well-known cyclist, but it seems even he’s not above the rage that ensues after a driving dickhead starts mouthing off on the roads.

The video below comes from Friday June 5th, and shows Boris telling a black cab driver what the majority of cyclists will have felt the need to tell a black cab driver at one time or another – “why don’t you fuck off and die – and not in that order”.

The emphatic suggestion from the 51-year-old mayor came after the driver accused him of letting down the black cab industry by failing to control the alternative, ever-popular and distinctly cheaper car-booking app Uber.

The black cab driver can be heard shouting: “you’re one of them mate. That’s what you are. One of them,” before Boris retorts, and draws the imaginative comeback: “Yeah bollocks, I hope you die,” from the cabbie.

The unnamed man who filmed the confrontation on his iPhone joked that Boris looked ‘furious’, saying: “Maybe if he is going to be the next Prime Minister he should calm things down a bit.”

What do we think? Well, given that commuting on a bike is pretty much a never-ending battle against cab drivers, it’s never too troubling for us to see one told to “fuck off” by a cyclist. Whoever that cyclist may be.
