We love Mark Cavendish. When he’s not not dominating sprints, he’s shooting from the hip and cutting down idiots who dare ask him stupid questions.

But in this recent press conference, he’s out-Cavendished himself.  When asked about whether he could be 100 per cent certain that nobody in a given event is racing drug free, his reply is pretty blunt.

Presumably sick to the back teeth of defending his sport, Cav asks the poor guy whether he was “100 per cent sure that one of these journalists isn’t fucking your wife?“.

While we don’t have too much sympathy for the hapless journo’ who incurred the wrath of the Olympic cyclist, it’s the guy to Cavendish’s right, who looks like he wants to the world to swallow him up, who we feel sorry for.
