This guy tries skateboarding and snowboarding... all while balanced on a road bike

Bicycles and snow are never a happy combination. Those skinny wheels digging into the snow make for a pretty miserable time for the person in the saddle.

The solution? Some bright spark invented fat bikes, the chubbier cousin of a regular bike, complete with wide tyres that glide over the top of the snow. Perfect!

So, why in the world would anybody take a road bike, with even skinnier tyres than a regular cycle, and hit the slopes with it? Because, bike-wizards like Max Schrom exist, that’s why.

The professional stunt cyclists, and triple world record holder from Germany is no stranger to doing incredible things on his bike, and not so long ago, decided to try his hand at parkour on a road bike. Why wouldn’t you?

But not content with that, Schrom has noe taken his two-wheeled talents onto snow. After larking around in Barcelona, where he hits up some iconic skate locations, he headed to Austrian Alps to see what all the frozen fuss was about.

From 50-50’s (after a fashion) to airs over jib boxes, Schrom looks pretty steezy as he takes on the Kaunertal terrain park.

Of course, it wasn’t all plain sailing from Max. Both in the Catalan capital and on the snow, he took his fair share of slams, as he tried to master both skate and snowboard style, while remaining balanced on two wheels.

Of course, as regular readers will know, Max Schrom is no stranger to taking on new sports. If you haven’t seen it, here’s when he decided to have a stab at parkour while remaining balanced on two wheels.
