This Dude Quit His Job To Turn A 250 Million-Year-Old Hole In The Earth Into A Real Life Man Cave

The den we're dreaming of....

Let’s be honest,we all want to build our own awesome den to play in, no matter how old we are.

Man caves are not a new idea by any means, but as far as building them goes… this guy has raised the bar.

When Angelo Mastropietro was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at 37, he decided that a major life shift was in order.

Leaving his job as the head of a recruiting company, he bought this 250 million year old cave in Worcestershire and set about transforming it into the house of his dreams…

It took £160,000 and around 1,000 hours breaking, cutting and burrowing through tonnes of rock, but the cave is now more swanky bachelor pad than hole in the earth.

As well as a super impressive decor scheme, the cave also has WiFi, running water and underfloor heating.

‘I want to celebrate that it is a cave dwellings, but I want to add modern day luxuries,’ says Mastropetro. ‘It definitely has a modern feel but hopefully retains some cave charm.’

We’re big fans! Any chance of an invite for a movie night in the forest?

Location – Wyre Forest, nr Kidderminster
