Thousands of Russians Just Stripped Naked to Break the World Record for ‘Bikini Snowboarding’…

'Special observers' were apparently on hand to make sure people weren't wearing too much in the bizarre attempt

Somewhat unbelievably, it appears there is an official Guinness World Record for bikini skiing and snowboarding – as in the number of people simultaneously descending a ski slope while wearing very little.

Don’t ask us why, but there is. And in gloriously silly news, a group of Russians have taken it upon themselves to break it.

1,835 men and women gathered at the Sheregesh resort in Siberia over the weekend before stripping down to their kecks and riding the 500 metre slope together.

Apparently “special observers” (read: closet perverts) were on hand to make sure no-one was wearing too much, and six cameras were set up along the course of the slope. To make sure that Guinness’ rules were complied with of course. It definitely wasn’t just an excuse to make a video of scantily-clad Russian women…

The attempt was part of the Grelka music and snow festival which takes place at the resort every season and beats the previous record, of 500 semi-naked skiers and snowboarders, which was set at the same event back in 2013.
