Do Shaved Legs Really Help You Ride Faster?

You might be surprised at the results...

It’s a question every cyclist asks: do shaved legs really help you ride faster?

The debate has raged for decades. Is this just something pros tell themselves or do hair-free limbs really make a difference to your time?

The guys over at Specialized Bicycles decided to test it out for themselves. They got six athletes together – ranging from moderately hairy to Chewbacca proportions – put them in a wind tunnel to see how they got on.

(Yep, they actually invented a “Chewbacca scale” of hairiness!)

What was the outcome? Watch and see!
