A seven-second video has caused outrage in the world of cycling after showing a man leaning out of a car window pushing a cyclist into a ditch – while issuing a challenge for others to do the same.
The video was published on Facebook on Saturday by Eoin Maughan, who claims the footage is not actually his, and has since gone viral, with over 800,000 views, more than 6,000 likes and nearly 10,000 shares.

There has been widespread criticism of the video in the comments, with users suggesting they could have caused serious damage to the cyclist or worse, even killed the rider.
Possibly worst of all is the posting of “this is the new challenge boys” as the caption along with the video, a phrase which is also shouted by someone in the car before the cyclist is pushed over.
We highly doubt that something this vicious could ever actually become a viral trend in real-life, but we’re certainly willing to heavily condemn anything or anyone that tries to make it so. Needless to say, it could end in disaster.
