You Might Not Think It, But There Are Some Sweet Waves To Be Found In Jersey…

Take a look at these stunning photos from surf photographer Robbie Dark

“Whenever the surf is good, my camera and fins replace my surfboard, no question,” says Robbie Dark, surf photographer from the small island of Jersey, off the coast of Britain.

At only 20 years old, Robbie is one of a handful of dedicated British watermen that pick up their camera instead of a surfboard when the swell starts pumping.

“I’ve spent years dreaming of shots I could get in the water, I just didn’t have the gear” says Robbie. Two months ago, he got his first waterhousing for his Canon DSLR and this was the result.

“The tides lined up for a lot of early morning and late afternoon sessions. The combination of the light, water and very little wind made the photos – all I had to do was be there and capture it in a creative way.”

There’s definitely a hint of Morgan Maassen style talent in there. If this is what Robbie can produce in just two months, we’re excited to see what he comes up with in the future.

You can see more of Robbie’s work on his Tumblr page or by following him on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
