You may be used to seeing World Cup Ski Racer Aksel Lund Svindal all lycrad-up, hooning between gates on steep sheets of ice – or Downhill Skiing as the purists insist on calling it. The Olympic gold medalist is perfectly at home on the kind of slope that would give most humans the fear.

But a man cannot live by Super-G glory alone, and the big Norwegian is no exception. It turns out that, when he’s hanging out in the back country, he dreams of landing steezy 360’s just like every other skier.

A bit like Trevor Jacob, who dropped a super sketchy back 3 at the X Games Boarder Cross in January, our pal Aksel maybe hasn’t got the most stylish freestyle game on the planet, but anybody getting lose and bashing out some freestyle is fine by us.

Anyway, it’s also kind of nice to see a world renowned skier being as rubbish as a regular punter at something.
