What Do You Get If You Cross A Zip-Wire With A Roller Coaster?

This new Aussie ride looks like serious fun...

What do you get if you cross a zip-wire with a roller coaster? The Treetop Crazy Rider.

Don’t let the truly awful name (or chronic euro-dance) fool you. This new woodland ride in Sydney, Australia looks absolutely amazing. Riders hang from the line in a harness, just like you would on a traditional straight zip line. However, the twist is, well, twists.

The line curves, loops, climbs and dips, just like a rollercoaster at a theme park, but this is suspended 60 feet high in the stunning backdrop of an Aussie forrest.

While we’ve not been lucky enough to try the ride, it doesn’t take a massive leap of imagination to think that belting past trees at high speed on the 1.3km long track beats queuing up at Wally World to go on the vomit-stained Cock-O-Coaster.

So, you want to give it a go? Well, after you’ve found your flights to Australia, a single run on the Treetop Crazy Rider is just shy of £50. All of a sudden, Wally World looks a bit more appealing.
