The newly opened Masik Pass ski resort is North Korea’s latest megaproject and is an effort to show that it is as civilised and culturally advanced as any other. The North Korean tourist board were rather uncooperative so pictures were hard to come by.
We are still a little baffled as to who is actually going to use this resort – Kim Tae-yong, a ski officialy estimates that there are only 5,500 skiers in North Korea, a country of over 20 million.
