Watch: Peter Sagan’s Absurd Descent on this Tour de France Stage Has Left The World Amazed

The green jersey king just showed how mountain bike skills can help win the Tour...

Watching Peter Sagan descend down the final 6 kilometres of the infamous Col de Manse on stage 16 of the Tour de France is enough to make anyone’s jaw drop in acknowledgement.

It’s like watching Usaine Bolt run the 100m, like watching Picasso wield a paintbrush, like watching nutella being spread on toast or like opening the door to the pizza delivery man when you’ve got a really brutal hangover.

Watching this is like opening the door to the pizza delivery man when you’ve got a brutal hangover…

Pure and simple, it’s watching the world work in exactly the way it’s meant to. And it’s goddamn glorioius.

Sagan can be seen putting his mountain bike experience to use in the video below as he absolutely slams down the notoriously challenging hill, ending up with his fifth second place of the Tour so far as a result, having been just too far back to catch stage leader Ruben Plaza on the downhill.

His bike handling skills are enough to amaze even the most regular of riders though. The best professional on Tour when it comes to the downhills? It’s certainly tough to argue with that…
