Could You Do A Double Backflip In A Wheelchair? Aaron Fotheringham Can…

'It's just wheels stuck to my butt, how can that not be fun...?'

Meet  Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham, the guy who didn’t let a debilitating spinal condition prevent him from doing exactly what he wanted in life.

He was assured from an early age that his ability to get around would be severely restricted by Spina Bifida, a condition that reduces the development of the spine.

However, after watching his brother ripping about his local skatepark on a BMX as a kid, Aaron was urged to give it a go in his wheelchair. He did just that.

With years of practice and, presumably, a gigantic set of balls, he now tours the globe with Nitro Circus, has double backflips on lock, and includes Travis Pastrana among his pals. Not bad for somebody who was told he would never walk.
