Alex Coleborn first came to the attention of many BMX fans in 2010 when he secured an eleventh place finish in the Park competition at the Nike BCN BMX Pro in Barcelona. He followed that up with a seventh place in Mini-Ramp at FISE in Montpellier later in the year, and in 2011 he made his first appearance at the X Games.
In 2013, he appeared at the NASS Festival at the Royal Bath and West showground in Somerset, before starring at Boardmasters in Cornwall, where he not only won best technical trick for a mind boggling whip to Canadian foot jam to nose pick, whip footjam and whip in, bar spin to opposite Canadian nose pick, truck driver to foot jam, but he also took first place overall in the BMX finals.
Born on 26 August 1992 in St Lawrence, Jersey, there is no doubt that Alex is the island’s finest BMX export ever. He first rode in 2005 at the age of 13, and he has been impressing BMX watchers with his technical wizardry ever since.
He is one of the few riders in the world who can consistently shock the BMX world with his
mind-blowing tech combos. He consistently lands some of the hardest footjam nosepick variations as well as big box jump blasts and barrel rolls. His victory at the Boardmasters event earlier this year featured huge airs, tech tricks and terrifying slams, including a triple tail whip that was one of the highlights of the weekend.
