Vert and Mega Ramp skateboarder Roberto Dean Silva Burnquist, popularly known as ‘Big Bob’, is the winner of a record 25 medals at the Summer X Games, including 11 golds, 6 silvers and 8 bronzes. He has also won two golds and two silvers at the Gravity Games, and is a six-time winner of the Transworld Rider's Award. Among his other achievements are becoming the first skateboarder to land a Mega Fakie to Fakie 900 in 2010, making him the fifth person in history to have ever landed the 900 trick, as well as being the only skateboarder to go over a gapped loop ramp while riding switch, and the first skateboarder to go all the way around a full pipe. As a child growing up in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the son of a Swedish-American father and a Brazilian mother, Big Bob started skating at the age of 11, and just three years later he had turned pro. In 1995, at the age of 19 and still a relative unknown, he rocked up at the Slam City Jam, was awarded first place by the judges, and he has been wowing crowds ever since. Big Bob’s switch-stance ability, creative lines and innovation on the Mega Ramp have set him apart from the rest throughout his career. He is also constantly finding new ways to make his tricks more creative and more difficult - he won the X-Games' best trick contest in 2000 with a ‘Burntwist’ - a Fakie 5-0, Fakie Kickflip on the grind bar.
