Recognised as one of the best riders in the world, Bode Merrill set himself apart from other borders with impressive riding when filming with Absinthe for Neverland. His closing part received much acclaim and led him to be nominated for Rider of the Year and Video Part of the Year by the TransWorld Snowboarding Magazine.
Bode Merrill has gained a bit of a reputation as the snowboarder's snowboarder, with big fans in Travis Rice and JP Solberg. He possese an enviable trick portfolios and is always looking to innovate and stomp new moves. He is a master exponent of backcountry double corking, one-footed backflips and front board down insane kink rails, along with many other special moves. He also delivers moves with grace, style and consummate ease, making him a joy to watch on the slopes
Merrill has also stepped out into the blogosphere, contributing to the ChangeThatTape site and is one of the people behind the Harsh Zeach to Scorpion site. The tongue-in-cheek blog pulls no punches with its view on snowboarding and has a history of upsetting some big names.
Merrill debuted his first competition earlier this year at Mt Hood called the Bode Merrill Mini Pipe Invitational. Bode tried and failed to win his own comp, reportedly stacking it pretty hard. Despite this Merrill will continue killing it in films, the X Games and on the streets, and generally impressing wherever he goes.
