Coco Ho is one of the leading members of a new generation of surfers taking the women’s professional circuit by storm. In 2009, she qualified for the ASP Women's World Championship Tour at the age of just 17 - at the time, the youngest woman ever to qualify - and went on to win her only world title event to date, the Rip Curl Pro Search Portugal, and finish the season ranked number four. Since that startling debut, Coco has been a consistent performer on the tour, and also picked up victories at ASP 4-Star and 6-Star events. By her lofty standards, 2013 started poorly, but she came back to form with a runner-up spot in New Zealand and currently lies in seventh place overall. Born on 28th April 1991 in Honolulu, Hawaii, and now based on the world famous North Shore, Coco is the youngest in a family of surfing royalty - her family includes surf legends Michael Ho (her dad) and Derek Ho (her uncle) and brother Mason has also gone on to become a professional surfer. Coco learnt to surf at the age of seven, and just a year later she had her first sponsorship deal. Although only 5 feet 3 inches tall, Coco has a powerful and confident surfing style more dynamic than that of many male pro surfers. She’s known for her progressiveness, with a style that features challenging aerials and unique tricks guaranteed to gain the attention of surf fans around the world.
