Dan Brisse

Dan Brisse is famous for taking urban snowboarding to the next level. In association with Absinthe Films, he has often had his sanity called into question for his seeming willingness to take a hit. Parts in Capita's 'Defenders of Awesome' and Absinthe's 'Twelve' are testimony to this. Having said that, Brisse does also utilise a calculated and precise approach in conquering some of the heaviest rail and gap setups. His team-mates describe him as 'very right brain' and Bode Merrill described him as a snowboarding machine. Brisse won the ESPN's Real Snow gold in 2011. In true Brisse style it featured a huge building-to-building transfer. An injury to this MCL came soon after this success so he was unable to continue his good form. Dan combines his analysis and precision with little regard for his own safety and an infectious enthusiasm for going bigger and harder than those before him. Born on December 11, 1983, in frosty Minnesota, Brisse is something of a local hero. Many of his friends work in the construction industry which comes in handy when it comes to building ridiculous kickers.
