Danny Way has been skateboarding consistently at the top level for nearly 25 years. He was a child prodigy who advanced to becoming of the top street and vertical skaters of all time by 17 years of age. In 1994, he broke his neck surfing and doctors said he would never skate again. In 1996, he won the Tampa pro street and vert event and shocked the entire skate world. Danny has jumped over the Great Wall of China, jumped off the Las Vegas Hard Rock Cafe back on to his board and built and innovated mega ramp skating on the colossal ramp he built in his backyard. His contributions to skateboarding are incomparable, he completely changed it and still continues to push it till today. Danny had a documentary made about his life and skate career in 2013 called Waiting for lightning.
