She was a a staple part of the all girl film production outfit, Misschief Films. Following on from a chance meeting with Travis Rice, Beaman became more and more focused on filming and exploring the backcountry of Rice's backyard of Jackson Hole. In 2011, Beaman was featured in a series of Snowboarder Magazine Webisodes and she devoted all of 2012 to filming and not competing. Hana Beaman was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, but now resides in Big Bear Lake, CA and Salt Lake City, UT. She has been competing in snowboarding competitions since 1998 and has been achieving top 10 rankings in all competitions she has entered since 2002.
