In 2010, Ishod Wair won the Maloof Money Cup Am Finals, the Pheonix Am contest, and then went to skating’s most prestigious amateur event in Tampa and picked up a more than respectable second place. He continued his progress the following year, taking wins at the Amsterdamn Am and Damn Am Atlanta events, and secured another Maloof Amateur Cup victory in Kimberley, South Africa. Now part of Nike’s Street League Skateboarding series, he is one of the most entertaining skaters to watch in the competition. He came out charging in his rookie year, winning the $10,000 cheque on offer at the Chevrolet Overdrive in Kansas City, and finished 14th overall. In 2013, he finished tenth. Ishod also released an amazing part in the Philly local video Sabotage 3, which was remixed and released on Thrasher‘s website. Ishod Wair grew up skating in Bordentown, New Jersey. He first picked up a skateboard at the age of nine, and after years of amateur success, he turned pro for Real Skateboards in December 2011. But despite his recent rise to skate stardom, south Jersey is still the place laidback Ishod calls home. His astonishing part in Real's Since Day One in April 2011 proved he wasn’t just some amateur contest kid - here was a versatile skater with unquestionable pro-level skills. His high-speed progression and rapid-fire consistency over the last couple of years have only served to reinforce his reputation.
