Jamie Anderson is most famous as the youngest X-Games medalist in the competitions history. In doing so she knocked Shaun White off his perch. She claimed bronze aged 15 in 2006 and has followed that with a string of golds and silvers.
Anderson is one of the most successful female riders of the moment and she didn't need to wait long to improve on her X-Games record and won the Slopestyle gold a year on from her debut. After that Anderson went on three of the next five Slopestyle X-Games competitions. She has also enjoyed numerous wins on the TTR tour and in 2012 was named 'Best Female Action Sports Athlete' at the prestigious ESPYs to the joy of Anderson.
Anderson grew up in South Lake Tahoe, CA as part of large family. She began riding aged 9 and isn't the only one to excel at the sport. Her sister Joanne is a pro also in the boardercross discipline. Her talents are not limited to snowboarding, in partnership with sponsor, Billabong, Jamie has launched a environmentally friendly clothing range.
Jamie puts her success down to not trying to be the best there is but down to her lifelong love of riding. Capable of destroying the competition in Slopestyle and shredding in her home of Tahoe, Anderson has her eye continuing her success in Sochi 2014 and who would bet against her?
