Young Scottish Street and Park rider Kriss Kyle notched up his first major competition win at the Transgression Skatepark Jam in Edinburgh in 2008. He went on to take first place at the Nike 6.0/BSD Jam in Dumbarton in 2011, and later that same year he was part of the team which finished eighth at the Nike 6.0-sponsored ‘The Pool’ event in Dagenham, Essex.
But it was in 2012 that he really made his mark on the BMX scene. He competed in the prestigious Simple Session event in Estonia, as well as grinding it with many top riders at Red Bull Skylines in Paris. He then pulled off the biggest performance of this career, a third place at the Red Bull Metro Pipe in Madrid, before taking part in Empire of Dirt at London’s Alexandra Palace.
Born in 1992, Kriss has been on a BMX since the age of 10, zipping round his family’s hometown of Stranraer. It has always been his dream to become a pro BMX athlete, and now it seems he finally has global success in his sights.
Since moving into Unit 23 in Dumbarton, one of the largest indoor skate and BMX parks in the UK, Kriss has transformed himself into one of the best riders in the world. The man himself describes his special talent as ‘lines, lines and more lines’ and he is without doubt one of the most energetic and exciting park riders out there.
