Louie Vito is a world class snowboarder and prolific winner who has been raking in medals and applause for nearly a decade. Vito has also won five medals at the X Games, two Winter Dew Tour Cup Overall Championships and four US Snowboarding Grand Prix medals. Louie Vito grew up in Columbus, Ohio, a long way from any mountains. He had always loved snowboarding and when he was in his teenage years, decided to move to Vermont in order to pursue his dream. He studied at the Stratton Mountain School, where he learnt much of what he knows today. His smooth style and perfectly executed corks and big spins have meant he has been on the podium 40 times during his career. Vito achieved recognition outside of snowboarding when he featured in Season 9 of Dancing with the Stars. He and his partner, Chelsea Hightower, finished 8th in the competition but raised his profile and that of Snowboarding. Vito has already conquered every competition put before him and focused on giving back to the next generation of riders. He organises the annual Louie Vito Rail Jam at his local mountain and mentors the competitors, any money that is raised is donated to a local charity. Louie's incredible success hasn't dulled his enthusiasm for winning or snowboarding and he can always be seen with a smile on his face.
