Finnish snowboarder, Peetu Piiroinen, is in the middle of a purple patch. For the past four years he's been the number one rider on the TTR World Tour and the Burton Open Series. It's fair to say Piiroinen is a serial winner. Peetu also came in second in the Half pipe event at the Winter Olympics in 2010 and is looking to go one better in Sochi next year. As if that wasn’t enough for one year, Piiroinen continued to excel in competitions and also walked away champion of the 6 Star Oakley Artic Challenge held in Oslo on March 8th of that same year. Peetu Piiroinen was born on February 15, 1988 and he grew up in Hyvinkää, Finland. There he learned the ins and outs of snowboarding while ripping down his home mountain, the Sveitsin Hiihtokeskus. Piiroinen has been competing since 1995 and has an incredible wealth of experience despite still having much of his career ahead of him.
