At the age of just 25, Ryan Villopoto is already considered one of the best riders in the world. He was named AMA World Supercross Champion in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and is the only rider in the history of the sport to ever clinch a title four races early, a feat he achieved in 2012. He is also an accomplished motocross rider, and earned his third consecutive AMA Motocross 250cc Championship by winning eight events and finishing on the podium in 11 of 12 starts in 2008. He won his fourth motocross title in 2011, when he also won the MXoN title with Team USA, and swept all three motos in the inaugural Monster Energy Cup to earn the cash reward of $1,000,000. Born in Poulsbo, Washington, Ryan’s family has deep racing roots and he won an impressive 24 titles while competing for Kawasaki’s Team Green, before turning professional in 2005. He competed in the final three rounds of his debut season, earning a best finish of second in the AMA Motocross 250cc at the series finale. He also won the 2005 Horizon Award. Ryan has suffered badly from injuries in his career so far, and, prior to the the 2009 supercross series, he had been unable to complete a full season on any circuit. He has needed incredible mental strength to come back, but he has done so on numerous occasions - the most memorable occasion being in 2011 when he won both SX and MX titles after breaking his leg and missing the entire 2010 motocross series.
