Sean Sexton describes himself as a street rider, but he has an uncanny ability to ride all disciplines which sets him apart from the average rider. At the X Games, he is no stranger to the podium, having earned bronze at Street's X Games debut in 2008. He also emerged victorious from a Street tiebreaker with Garrett Reynolds at X Games Mexico in 2008, and won silver in Brazil in the same year. In recent years he has continued to demonstrate his immense talent, taking first place at the 2011 Nike 6.0 Pro Comp at Huntington Beach with teammates Brian Kachinsky, Corey Martinez and Will Stroud. He also came third in Street at the 2012 edition of the Chad Kerley Vitaminwater BMX Invitational. Born in 1986 in Phoenix, Arizona, Sean moved around when he was younger, living in four different states. He first started riding at the age of nine, and he was racing two years later. After trying freestyle with his friends, he got his first sponsor at 16, and turned pro at 18. He currently lives in Austin, Texas. Sean has never swayed from his own unique style. and his power riding remains unmistakable. He was always one to watch in Street competition, combining grinds with ramp-inspired jump tricks and flairs on the smallest of transitions, but he has recently also become proficient in opposite moves as well. Combine this with an ability to add spins in either direction, and he looks set to score highly for years to come.
