White is a walking, breathing legend of snowboarding. Born in San Diego, California on September 3, 1986, Shaun White went on to create an almost impossible streak for someone who loves boarding – be it on the snow or the cement. A two time Winter Olympic Gold medalist, Shaun White doesn't just snowboard - he also skates board. He has outdone himself straddling both board sports with style and dominance. He's added a few more achievements to his name by helping to create designs for Oakley and has his own line with Burton. As well as countless snowboarding magazine covers, he's also featured twice on the front of Rolling Stone magazine. At the tender age of nine, he figured out that he had passion for both snowboarding and skateboarding. He befriended Tony Hawk in 1995, and this friendship was able to lift him from struggling snowboarder to pro. He has gone on to do what he does best – win skateboarding and snowboarding events relentlessly. He is the first to compete and win gold medals in the Summer and Winter X Games and in 2012 in Aspen he walked away with the SuperPipe title after laying down a perfect 100.00 score. The numerous records under Shaun White's name are unlikely to ever be matched. He's one of the few action sports stars to break out of the sport itself and receive worldwide mainstream coverage for himself and the competitions he's dominated.
