Spencer O'Brien is one of the top female riders competing right now. Her consistency and progressive style have made her a regular on podiums around the world.
The past couple of years have seen a fantastic run of success for the young Canadian. In 2012 she captured the TTR World Snowboarding Championship, the O'Neill Evolution Big Air contest and was champion of the Dew Tour as well. She built on this in 2013, retaining her TTR title and winning the Burton US Open Slopestyle.
Spencer was born in Vancouver back in 1988. She grew up riding with her sister and father and still enjoys some quality family time shredding the slopes of Whistler. She is an able baker and is known to share her concoctions with the rest of the tour.
O'Brien's success has helped reshape perceptions of women's snowboarding. She was the first woman to join the Nike snowboarding and APO, Dragon and Rockstar are also represented by her. She has at least 15 or more victories stashed under her name and she will continue pushing for the limit of her snowboarding skills.
