About Chester Blacksmith
Pro BMX biker Chester Blacksmith started biking when he was 12 on a dirt track behind his parents’ house in Oregon. Since then, he has risen to BMX fame, currently riding for Lotek, Goods BMX Shop, Shitluck Clothing, and éclat. Also part of German BMX manufacturer Wethepeople’s professional team, Chester Blacksmith sells his custom BMX parts on their website. Blacksmith was listed as #1 on ESPN columnist Brian Tunney’s top five BMX tricks of 2009 for his rooftop-to-rail trick featured in a Dig magazine full-page ad.
Chester Blacksmith broke his leg while attempting a trick on the TV show Scarred. While healing from the injury, he took up the harmonica and dabbled in photography. Because of his involvement with wethepeople, Blacksmith speaks some German. Blacksmith is known for being a down to earth, humble guy and still lives in his hometown of Portland, though his BMX career takes him throughout Western Europe and the United States.
