There is only one professional BMX street rider that can be called 'Rooftop' and that rider is none other than Mike Escamilla. Escamilla came onto the BMX scene in the early 1990's and at the time was touted as the new boy wonder and was well known for his killer tricks. Escamilla was one of the early big names of ESPN's X Games and was the measuring stick for what new tricks should look like.

Mike Escamilla has also reaped the rewards of his notoriety as he now has his own action figures, has been featured in numerous international magazines and publications, and has even been featured on MTV. Some of the vids and mags that have featured Mike Escamilla are Playboy, Transworld Skateboarding, and he has made appearances on some of Mat Hoffman's ever so popular BMX trick videos. Mike Escamilla is by far one of the best BMX street riders in the world.
