The Quiksilver Showdown Over the City began in the year 2007 at Grouse Mountain. The design and backdrop of the park added to the event’s success. The event takes place on a weekend, and it starts off with the top local amateurs battling against one another for a small number of qualifying spots. The spots are for the Invite-Only Friday Night Jib Session, which proved to be a great show of skills with three jib setups and Saturday Park Session. Saturday unveiled the Twin Hips, the main event, using Vancouver as their beautiful backdrop.
The Quiksilver Showdown Over the City is held in Grouse Mountain, British Columbia, Canada and is thought of as one of the biggest snowboarding events in the Pacific Northwest. Going onto its fourth year, everyone is wondering who will stand out and, most importantly, who will walk away with the $20,000 cash prize.
