I'm 38 years old, married with a 2 year old daughter. I discovered MTB about 10 years ago after moving from Australia to Belgium. My main passion in Australia was rock-climbing, but MTB proved better-suited to wet & muddy Belgium ... Back then it was mainly cross country. My first full suspension bike in hindsight was very average,my third full sus was a San Andreas Mountain Cycle bought on my first trip to the States, an excellent all rounder but unfortunately gave up the ghost on the braking bumps of the Portes Du Soleil. I've been very lucky over the last 10 years, had a couple of freeride road trips to the states and Canada, after spending 2 weeks in Whistler I decided to move from free ride to downhill, I moved to Paris and discovered the Alps, its now been 4 years since I bought my first downhill bike - a Nicolai M-Pire - and have never looked back. This is probably just as well since I quickly discovered that I am NOT 16 anymore and the Nicolai can outride me every time. I have had an absolute hoot and been lucky but on the odd occasion have run out of talent and earned myself a little vacation in the hotel chain with the cross out the front. - My Interests:
