2012 Race Face Turbine Crankset | Product Focus

Race Face Turbine Box

Race Face had some hurdles to overcome as a company back in 2011 and for 2012 they’re pushing on strong with new products that continue to set them apart from the competition.

Designed and built in Canada , Race Face has been around for some time creating cranks that riders have loved. They’ve refined their cranks over time and certainly are competitive against Shimano and SRAM in terms of quality and awareness amongst the bike community.

Installation is a bit easier than earlier Race Face cranks and they snug up quite a bit easier than earlier versions. The non driveside crank arm connects to the driveside crankarm in a pressfit interface that snugs up with a single 8mm bolt.

The I-Beam construction of the Turbine arms help give them additional stiffness that some cranks in this category can lack.

With new bottom bracket standard trickling out, Race Face also has you covered here should you choose one of their cranks. They’ve got bottom brackets to fit the standard 68/73mm type as well as BB30 and Shimano’s BB92 setup. Best of all the now come packed with quality Phil Wood grease that will help ensure a long life.
