About Billy Mackenzie

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland on April 7, 1984, Billy Mackenzie is one of the top motocross riders who calls Britain home. He is currently the reigning British MX1 Champion with two prior championships under his belt. Billy Mackenzie began racing in 1990 at the age of six and won his first race the same year. He has currently ridden in over 200 races.

His first Grand Prix debut was in 1999 at the age of 15. His first Grand Prix win came at the age of 19 in the MX2 Spanish GP. Weighing 185 pounds, standing 5ft. 7in. tall he was forced to change from MX2 class to MX1. This change took place in 2007 and has proven to work in his advantage. Since this change in class he has won the British MX1 championship in 2007 and placed 9th in the MX1World Championship.

Billy Mackenzie has three Grand Prix wins and is always a podium threat. He is a strong competitor and swift rider. He is currently under the sponsorship of Honda.
