Michael Phillips, races for Honda Racing NZ (New Zealand). He also races with teammate Justin McDonald, who luckily doesn't compete directly with him as Justin races in the MX1 class, whereas Michael Phillips races an MX2 bike which is in the 250cc class.

He recently raced in the 2009 Demon Energy MX Nationals and wrote an open letter to his team thanking them for providing great equipment, even though he did not win the the fourth round or the overall race. He did, however, win in the third round and the overall Demon Energy MX championship.

He also thanked his dad for allowing him to use their backyard to build practice track to prepare. It appears it paid off.
