The 2012 Monster Energy World motocross championship has started in Valkenswaard, Holland. Day 1 was all about new bikes, riders and teams, Monster Energy hosted a welcome party introducing their riders from Yamaha and Kawasaki including Steven Frossard and David Philippaerts from Monster Yamaha and Christophe Pourcel and Tommy Searle from Kawasaki. All in all a great day & night by all.

Tommy Searle prepares for the 2012 season

2012 could be a season to remember for Britain's Tommy Searle. Tommy is currently back at his US base preparing for the world championship season to begin. We managed to catch up with Tommy at Pala Raceway recently where he was looking extremely quick and as usual had lots to say about his year ahead and he mentioned a possible Maxxis round one appearance at Fat Cats.

Jordan Booker serious about 2012

A few months back we caught with <a href="http://moto.mpora.com/news/jordan-booker-buildbase-honda.html">Jordan Booker at his track near Bristol</a> for a sneak peek of his new 2012 Buildbase Honda ride. We noticed back then that Jordan looked a lot more comfortable and confident on the Honda 250F than he did on the KTM, not sure why but for us at MOTO who watch riders very closely you could tell straight away. This year he's hoping for more GP point success competing in nine rounds of the world championship. One little known fact from Jordan's debut season from GP's is that he gained more points in his first year than both Tommy Searle and Jake Nicholls did in their's - interesting stuff. We tracked Jordan down at Comp Edge in the USA recently where he was putting in solid laps of practise four weeks into his six week training schedule in the USA - 2012 is looking bright for JB and good luck to him as he's a top bloke.
