About Jill Kintner
Jill Kintner was born in 1981, and lives in Seattle, Washington. She has been racing BMX since she was very young, and was competing professionally by time she was 14 years old. She had won many victories as a BMX racer, winning most of the sport’s titles. But due to scarce sponsorship money, and a love for mountain biking, she decided to switch her focus to mountain bike racing. Jill Kintner went on to win 3 U.S.A. Cycling National 4-Cross Championships, 3 4-Cross World Championships, 2 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Championships, 4-Cross, and 13 UCI Mountain Bike World Cups.
She went back to BMX racing in the beginning of 2007, and began trying to qualify for the 2008 USA BMX Olympic Team. She qualified for the Olympic team in June 2008, and found herself among the top 16 chosen for the team. In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Jill Kintner won a Bronze medal in BMX racing, becoming the first American to win a medal in BMX.
