Pro Mountain Biker Sam Blenkinsop is part of team Lapierre and was born October 28, 1988 in New Zeland. Some of Sam Blenkinsop's favourite riding spots and courses are Schladming, Mont-Sainte-Anne and Brazil. Sam feels the best moment in his career to date has been beating Fabien Barel at the NZ National Series in Napier and the worst moment in his career to date has been crashing at The Worlds in Rotorua. Sam Blenkinsop has been riding since 2001 but only been pro since 2006.

Sam Blenkinsop's sponsors include Adidas, Five Ten Shoes, Skull Candy and Wide Open. In 2009 Sam won the IXS DH Cup in Winterburg, Germany while placing high in La Bresse (FRA) and Fort William (GBR). In 2008, Sam Blenkinsop won the SuperD in Deer Valley, UT, USA and placed 3rd in NMBS#4-D/H in Deer Valley, UT, USA and Mountain States Cup#6, D/H in Snowmass CO, USA as well as placing high in several other races. His reputation and skills make him fun to watch and definitely someone to keep tabs on as the number of wins and accomplishments continue to grow.
