Watch the video and see how the 2012 SPS team fares at Combe Sydenham. Following two days of training at UK Bike Park the SPS team compete at the first Halo British Downhill Series of the year under the wing of Steve Peat. Hoping to continue the success of last year's team there were some nerves as for many of the members, such as Nils, Glen, Matt Glynn and Alex Barker, this was their first national or their first race in a new category. Riding new carbon V10s with Fox and Shimano finishing kit maintained by a fully qualified mechanic the team is in the best position to deliver results! Venturing over from the Enduro team Neil Donoghue raced this round and won his Expert category by a convincing 1.3 seconds. Healing thoughts go out to Irvin Creighton who would have been racing in Veteran category had he not broken his hand in training. It's been a long time coming but Finally 3 is finally here. The 2011 UCI World Cup ushered in a new era in downhill and a new generation of talent. With Trek's Aaron Gwin dominating race after race, the old order could only look on while the new order stepped up their game and showed their worth. Specialized's Troy Brosnan coasted straight into the top ten alongside the UK's Danny Hart, who saved the best till last and let it all hang out at the World Champs in Champery, producing a run that rivaled anything that had gone before it. New Zealand's Brook MacDonald, at just 20 years of age, showed his mettle in 2011 and together with the Syndicate's Josh Bryceland has proven himself more than capable of taking a win. Who would have known what 2011 would bring back in Peitermaritzberg, South Africa in April of last year?
