If two is better than one, than three is a party on the water! The Trio is a 3-person tube positioning the riders in a triangle configuration for a fun ride. Nylon covered foam handles make holding on a cinch, depending on boat driver and the Trio jets across the water with ease. A great value for a great tube. Kokanee Crankworx Day 7 Monster Energy Slopestyle

It's what we've been waiting for and today the Monster Energy Slopestyle went down. With blazing hot temperatures and dry conditions some of the top 16 riders in the world hurled themselves down the course with not much regard to bodies or safety. The day started at checking out the skills and finesse of the trials bikers over near the local creekbed. From there it was off to the Cheese rolling championships! Yes we saw people hurtling down the hillside all to grab that wheel of cheese. A now annual competition this British favorite shows who is willing to chase the "cheese". After we filled ourselves with the cheese antics we checked out the village scene and got into position for the big show. After seeing Casey Groves tailwhip the Monster stepdown, then soon to be winner Cam Zink 360 it this course was open for the slaughter. Highlights were seeing near perfect runs by Brendan Semenuk and Darren Berrecloth, Both getting injured on the last hit the Kokanee showtime booter the rest of the field were waiting to take control. Cam Zink, Mike Montgomery and Casey Groves had top notch runs but it was Cam Zink's 2nd qualifying run which sealed the deal with technical trickery and huge airs. With Whistler's biggest crowds since the Winter Olympics the nightlife was out of control. The Monster Energy afterparty at the Longhorn was a full house with Mat the Alien's video DJ set and drinks flowing freely. See you tomorrow for the final day which is actually one of the best events the Canadian DH Open. Hope someone has Ibuprofens.

Kokanee Crankworx - Day 3 Canadian Open Enduro

Day 3 of Kokanee Crankworx started off with the Canadian Open Enduro and ended with us taking Vinay Menon from India on some sweet secret singletrack. The French athletes dominated the enduro with Remy Absalon taking first and Nicolas Vouilloz pulling in quickly after him for second. Ross Schnell from Colorado took third. The French women on top were Anne Caro Chausson and Emmeline Ragot. Third place was captured by Katherine Short. Since the race was held early in the day we decided to take the winner of the bikeparksbc.com contest out for a ride. Vinay Menon won passes to a number of BC parks and came all the way from India to check out what BC has to offer. After seeing snow for the first time (even riding some) and being treated to 5000 feet of buff singletrack, Vinay was more than stoked and says the he can't wait to bring the trail building skills he has witnessed here back to India.

The time of year had come for our annual trip to Malibu, California for the first Seaslug event of the new season. A combo swell was filling in and graced the beach of Zuma the morning of the event, which made for peaky rippable conditions. With the stage set and kids frothing to get the SeaSlug event started, we kicked it off in style at 8am. Here's how it all went down.
