Now, I think we can all agree that guns are bad. Guns hurt people. Guns kill people. Guns represent so much about what’s wrong with the world. NERF guns however, NERF guns are different. NERF guns are brilliant. NERF guns are the gateway to a world of fun. NERF guns are, and we don’t want to put too fine a point on it, the best thing ever invented.

Mark Rober, a former NASA engineer who worked on the Mars Rover project, has teamed up with the lads from the Eclectical Engineering YouTube channel to build the world’s largest NERF gun. As this video illustrates, the gargantuan NERF gun is fit for the hands of Zeus himself. It’s enormous and, what’s more, it’s powerful. Extremely powerful.

Got some glass that needs smashing? No problem. The world’s largest NERF gun will sort you out. Got a candle that needs putting out? The largest NERF gun in the world will not only deal with the flame, it will take out the entire pillar of wax as well. Got a watermelon you want to obliterate? The world’s largest NERF gun has got you covered.

These dudes have changed the face of NERF gun wars forever and, for that, we salute them.
