Wave of Doom

Peter Derham, Margaret's Region, July ‘Watching it from the hill before getting in the boat I was just hoping we could make it out there without getting caught by one. After waiting 15 minutes for a gap we just went for it, hoping for the best. The sets were 40ft+ and getting bigger throughout the morning. This landed on his head right after I shot it, taking him pretty deep and leaving everyone witnessing it, 8 skis and 6 or 7 boats of photogs wondering how he didn’t break something.’ - by Tungsten/Nikon
