Another of her brothers, Amen, serves as agent and manager for Teter and her snowboarding siblings. Outside of competition, Teter has been featured in several documentaries on snowboarding and the presence of women in the sport, along with at least one educational video. The athlete has even had a Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavour, called Hannah Teter's Maple Blondie, created in her honour. She was selected to model for the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue along with fellow snowboarders. In 2008 Teter started the ‘Hannah's Gold’ charity to raise money from the sale of maple syrup to support the village of Kirindon, Kenya. She also works for other charity causes and sponsors schools in third-world countries.
