Born November 26, 1984 to Chuck and Gina Lusk, he was raised and attended school in his hometown of San Diego, CA. Jeremy married his high school sweetheart, Lauren, in November of 2007. They resided in Temecula, CA.
At age 19, the Pitbull (Jeremy's nickname) became a professional motocross rider. In 2005 in Texas he practiced and practiced until he first nailed the 'Hart Attack'. Named after Carey Hart who first successfully performed it, the Hart Attack is achieved by doing a hand stand on a bike, with the body held perfectly vertical, while jumping a gaping space. Jeremy later combined the Hart Attack with a loopback and Indian air backflip to develop a sensational extreme sports trick the crowd loved. In February , 2009, Jeremy Lusk was competing in the X-Knight Freestyle Show in San Jose, Costa Rica. When attempting to execute the same trick, his landing went awry, he under-rotated and landed front wheel first. He was ejected off the bike landing head first with enough force to split his helmet down the middle. The resulting head, brain and spinal cord damage brought about his death three days later at the age of 24. Jeremy Lusk was the first pro rider fatality at a competition. As his newly tattooed chest had proclaimed, Jeremy was "In God's Hands".
