Olsson received his first taste of notoriety after being featured in a well-known Poor Boyz Productions video at the age of 19. Although he has continued to increase his name recognition through frequent and impressive video appearances, his performances in freeskiing competitions have been equally inspiring. Jon has performed exceptionally well at the X-Games, having earned nine medals since 2003. In particular, he is known for creating a number of new double-flip trick combinations; among these, the most famous is perhaps the double flatspin 900, known as the Kangaroo Flip. In the past two years, Jon has also returned to the more traditional world of ski racing, recently announcing his intentions to represent his home country of Sweden in the 2014 Winter Olympics. In addition to his remarkable reputation as a skier, Olsson is also known for his activities off the slopes. In 2005, he founded the Jon Olsson Invitational in Sweden, now the most respected big air competition in the world. He is also known as a man with a strong appetite for fashion and luxury. Jon often appears in fashion magazines and clothing advertisements, and he once strolled down the catwalk beside supermodel Helena Christensen. From his wealthy estate in Monaco to his frequently photographed Lamborghini, Jon's private life only helps to cement his larger than-life persona.
